Sheri Holmes, MD | Johnson City Location
Dr. Holmes is an assistant professor, vice chair, and tenured faculty at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. She received a BSN from ETSU in 1989. Her medical degree was completed at ETSU/QCOM in 2001. She completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA in 2005.
Specialties Robotic, laparoscopic & minimally invasive surgery; pre-invasive disease of the cervix and vulva; general obstetrics and gynecology.
T. Watson Jernigan, MD, MA | Johnson City Location
Dr. Jernigan is the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. He received his medical degree at the University of West Virginia, Morgantown, WV. He finished his residency at the Akron City Hospital, Akron, OH.
Specialties Menopausal symptoms, perimenopausal bleeding, hormonal therapy including alternative and complimentary medications.
John D. Green, MD, FACOG | Elizabethton Location
Dr. Green is an assistant professor at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. He is returning to the town of Elizabethton and is conveniently located beside Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He received a Graduate degree in Biological Sciences from East Tennessee State University and a Doctor of Medicine from ETSU's Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, TN. He continued with ETSU/QCOM as a resident in the Department of Internal Medicine. Then, went on to finish his residency and become Chief Resident in the Department of OB/GYN at the University of South Carolina Medical School. Dr. Green is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Kent S. Hjerpe, MD, FACOG | Johnson City Location
Dr. Hjerpe is an associate professor at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. He received his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He completed his residency at the Methodist Medical Canter / UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He is board certified by the American Board of OB/GYN.

Brent Laing, MD | Elizabethton Location
Dr. Laing is an assistant professor at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. He is returning to the town of Elizabethton and is conveniently located beside Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the McMaster University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in the Department of OB/GYN at the University of Western Ontario Medicial School in London, Ontario, Canada, where he also served as Managing Chief Resident. Dr. Laing is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Martin E. Olsen, MD | Johnson City Location
Dr. Olsen is a professor at ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. He completed medical school at the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo in 1985. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio in 1988 and OB/GYN residency at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1991. He was board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1993 and Family Medicine in 1988.

Ann Rouse, MD | Johnson City Location
Dr. Rouse is an assistant professor and tenured faculty at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of Miami in 2000. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston.

Olga Sarkodie, MD | Johnson City Location
Dr. Sarkodie is an associate professor at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at the Minsk State Medical Institute in Belarus and her residency at ETSU/QCOM in Johnson City, TN. She also received a second graduate degree in International Law from the President's of Belarus Academy in 1998.

R. Keith Huffaker, MD, MBA, FACOG, FPMRS
We have the region's only fellowship trained board-certified physician specializing in Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogynecology. We offer the very latest in the diagnosis and evaluation of surgical and non-surgical treatments of female urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, fistula, and other problems involving the female pelvic floor. Our interdisciplinary approach includes physical therapy and biofeedback.
Quillen Fertility and Women's Services provides you and your family the latest in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, recurrent miscarriage, congential anomalies of the reproductive tract, and other endocrinological problems affecting women of all ages. Our services range from basic infertility to In Vitro Fertilization.

Paul R. Kramer, MD Dr. Kramer is associate professor at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. He received his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. William A. Block, Jr., MD, MBA
Dr. Block has come back to East Tennessee to serve as Chair of the Department of OB/GYN at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Quillen College of Medicine in 1992 and his Masters of Business Administration from Emory University in 2012. He finished his residency at the University of South Carolina / Richland Memorial Hospital in 1996 and fellowship at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine / Wake Forest University in Maternal / Fetal Medicine in 1998.
Dr. Block is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal / Fetal Medicine Subspecialty.
George H. Davis, DO, FACOOG
Dr. Davis received his BS from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. He earned his doctorate of osteopathic medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (TCOM) formerly known as the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Then, he was Chief Resident at the Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He finished his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Thomas Jefferson University Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.
Selman Welt, MD
Dr. Welt received his BS from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. He earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.
He completed his residency from the Washington University of St. Louis, Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. His fellowship was completed at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.
He has two daughters that are grown and return to East Tennessee yearly to visit family and friends. He likes to cook, travel, read and garden. This year he is tending a tulip patch.
